Lingerie patterns
The pattern maker will have to mix some experience in work done in the past, with knowledge about measurements and proportions of the human body.
When we create a model from a drawing or a photo, without any further guidance, it is difficult to create a pattern.
In this case, we had to create two different bra models.
One, is shaped like a "balconnet" with a low cup and stripped mesh.
For the construction of the pattern, we wear a similar bra in a dress form. It will be useful to see the shape of the new bra.
The second one, was a triangular model in which we simulated the stripes to see how we will cut the cups in the stripe mesh.
We use a similar model on the dress form and build the cup, following the measurements and adjusting shapes.
We pinned the two parts of the cup, and draw the stripes with the correct inclination to know how we will place the parts in the mesh.
