The work of a pattern maker
Pattern development:
Pattern maker is responsible for interpreting the designs made in the creation area, normally by stylists or fashion designers.
After that, they create the patterns and cut and sew the garments.

All garments have several parts and for each one we need a pattern template.

Pattern makers must be creative.
They must be up to date on trends and new products and must use the knowledge from work they have done to develop new projects.

Fabrics selection:
The pattern maker, helps choosing the most suitable materials for each piece, considering the characteristics of the fabrics and the necessary finishes.
Must have knowledge of human anatomy, knitwear and fabrics

Prototyping:
Creation of prototypes to test fit, comfort and appearance before series production.
Update of measurement tables:
Pattern maker work, also includes keeping measurement tables up to date, adapting them to new trends and market demands.
