We create clothes for children.

This month was dedicated to recreating and developing clothes for children, using materials we had in the studio as well as some fabrics that clients brought in.
One of our customers, brought us a fabric with a chequerboard pattern. She had kept it for several years because she liked the design and colors. It was a small piece of fabric, so she wanted to use it to create a garment for her son
Since it was a wool fabric, we decided to go for a winter coat with a simple, flared shape and small side slits for easier movements.
We add some simple and discret details.
We sew two green velvet buttons and black toggles, as they matched perfectly with the coat's colors.
A red ribbon was added to the small side openings to contrast with the more muted colors of the coat.
Finally we sewed on the hood, a small colourful pompom made it pretty and unique.

Reinventing clothes

We turn an adult shirt into a baby blouse for a 1-year-old.
For this piece, we thought it was important to add a fun touch. That's why we created and applied a small giraffe in cotton fabric to the front.
We also used delicate brown buttons to complement the design. We were surprised with the result of this very comfortable cotton fabric.

Reusing

Finally, using an adult shirt, we made a lined top for children with personalised details.
We made a small 2 cm hem where we threaded an orange velvet ribbon.
We added a pocket with a floral print to brighten up the piece.
